Tomorrow..Hmmm... then I will go back to work...will start with work training for a month...to see if my foot will withstand the load again...hope so...and if not...then I know...
So I guess I will be very tired for some days now...hope I will have some energy left to see what happends out in blogland...
Eight hours of cleaning will definetly make me tired!!!

Awards...Tags and Advertising for Patchwork...

Headache again...
And just today...when I was to be at my best... sigh!!!
Btw....Does anyone want to change head with me...???

Anyway...today I have been sitting in a Mall in Piteå and made advertising for patchwork...
I´m a patchwork teacher at an adult educational association ... and classes are to be held this Autumn and Winter... and a little advertisment is not too bad... :)
So this is me in my little corner...
...and some of my projects... I had a little handsewing with me...but not so much sewing... just some quilting...my head was not with me at all... but I hope I spread some sunshine anyway...
...at least they could see some quilts...and ask questions... :)
after that I went home...for a nice cup of tea and some rest...
So now it´s a little better...

Have a very guilty conscience ... for not announcing my Awards that my lovely bloggingfriends have been giving me...so I guess it´s about time...

My first Award I got from Peg...

The rules of the Wylde Woman Award are:

1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.
2. Link back to this blog site http://www.tammyvitale.com/ so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women.

Purpose of the Award:

"To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy..."

So guess if I felt happy to recive that one... :)
Thanks so much Peg for thinking of me...

The second one I got from Carol...
The Rules are...

1. The winner can put the logo on their blog.

2. Link the person you received your award from.

3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.

4. Put links of those you nominate on your blog.

5. Leave a message on the blogs of the people you've nominated.

Another happy moment... Thanks so much Carol for this Award...

And just the other day I got this from Julz...
...and hmmm... 7 things about myself... lazy as I am today and with a splitting headache I take the easy way out and share the same old weird facts as the last time...
...Here they go...

*I have a lot of Norweigan Viking blood in my veins...for example from "Olav den helige" and Harald Hårdråde!!

*My ancestors ruled and were Kings on the Isle of Mann and the Isles.... quite famous ones from the 11 th century... maybe thats why I fell in love with a special quilting technique from Isle of Man...;)

*I can bend just the tips of my fingers...*LOL* quite disgusting...just like claws...

*I got curly hair when I got my son!! It was straight as a pin before...

*I´m no much of a cook...I´m too lazy...It has to go fast...I rather sew!!! But you who have read my blog for some time now ... you have understood this haven´t you... ;)

* I do love chocolate...in all sorts....Mmmmm!!

*Allergic to most fruits, almonds, nuts, pollen from birches and timothy grass and cats...and this IS NOT fun at all...

* I add an eight weird thing...
I JUST LOVE BLOGGING !!!
Hope this was weird enough... :)

Thanks so much Julz!!

And how much I want to I can not pick out just a few of you all ... I have a lot of lovely bloggingfriends out in the world and all of you are so lovely..... everyone of you...
I will not pass these awards and tagging forward...hope no one is offended... and If anyone who read this is up for it ...please tag yourself and share...;)

Back to some rest and perhaps some sewing ...
Have a great Saturday!!

Out with the pink...

...and in with the prim and the darker colours...

I just love how you can change the whole house with just changing some quilts and some things...and in no time... :)
This is what I have been doing today... have capitulated...AUTUMN is here...colder weather...the COLDS...( better today...no fever...:) ...and in my search for a warmer climate..I needed to let the darker colours come in!!
So bye bye pink quilts...see you at spring... :)
...a little miniature basket quilt ...
...Mr. Scarecrow and the pumpkins...
...a Cheri Saffiote Payne quilt...
...and in my corner of the livingroom...
...my version of Stars... this one Louise, Eugenie from Norway and I swapped blocks on ...
...and this quilt...totally forgotten in between seasons... almost finished...and it´s a shame it´s not beeing finished...have a border to add and the quilting.
Louise and I swapped blocks on this one when I moved from Östersund...we made two and kept one for ourselves... And this quilt my ladies...have a workname... Louise DH is not so fond of plaids and stripes.... so when she had this one on their bedroom wall he thought it was the ugliest quilt of all...and he named it :
"The Quilt for the Blind People"
;)
Oh...we do laugh a lot when we think of this...cause both Louise and I love it...
Btw...Louise is not finished with hers either... ;)
...I would love to have it machinequilted...so one day it might be ready for that...
Hope you are having a happy time out there...

2 months and about a week
... this is the time this lovely package from Pat took to come to me... who do know where it has been...all we know is that it has been in Israel...but after that...who knows...Sure would like to hear the story... if it has been adventurous or just awful... :) But I am so glad it has arrived for Pat´s sake...hope she can relax now...
...when I told the story at the postoffice..they couldn´t believe me... cause everything was correct done...clear adress label and custom declared...but it happened... and have to wait for 17 workdays just to know something about it... they just shook their heads...and again...after knowing it was in Israel...have to wait 17 days again!!!! Never heard anthing like it!!
But it´s here...and do you want to see!!! :)

...nicely wrapped little packages...
....ohhh...it was many little packages....
...ok...the wrapping was torn...after 2 months on the road...but everything was in nice order...

Where is my pins!!

....Hmmmm...they have been dissapering one by one ...day by day... and finally I found them... They have been at a race...didn´t know that... wow...a competition for pins!!!
My son have been sneaking up to my sewing room the latest days for something..I have been asking him ...what are you doing ...nothing mom!!! he said...ok... i said...
This is what he have been doing... ;)
So ladies this is the result so far... yellow is in the lead!!! :)
Have been sitting nicely and been a very good girl these days ...not using my sewingmachine... Wednesday I was at my chiropractor and fixed me to a better Stina... I hope!! ;)
And he said...-LADY... no SEWING..!!!
Ok I said...very quiet... ;)
But I promise I have been as good as I can...
I have stitched on my Butterfly Garden... YES!! I have finally started...have been on my to do list since X-mas...you see I have had this idea in my head for ages...I wanted my blocks to be very light and a bit oldfashioned...so I used linen and a new thread with just a hint of pink from DMC... So I just had to try it out... this is how it turned out..
...and I love it... didn´t think it would show up as much as it did...but it does !!
...and used swedish in the sayings... thanks Leanne for writing the words... (she did this when we were in Norway...or to be exact when she got back to Australia) Thanks!!
...some stitchery...this is what I love with Leanne Beasleys patterns...they have stitchery, applique and patchwork and finally quilting in them... The Best!!
...So this is my block 2... started with that one just to see how my idea where going to be!!

For the moment I should be packing instead of sitting here and blog...cause I´m off to Marica for a long long wished-for weekend with my sewing girls!!!
So see you on Sunday!!
Promise to take some pictures...and I guess Marica will blog some... :)

Potatoes....

...September...
Harvesting month... then we all start to think of when the potatoes will be harvested...it dependes a lot of the weather...this year it was rather early... the frost took the potato foliage a week ago...so there was no return...the potatoes must up!!!
And we all know what this means...sore back, legs and arms... :(
We went early Saturday morning ( 25 swedish miles)...loaded Lindas furniture in a trailer... glad mom and dad have space enough to store whatever we come with... :) THANKS!!!
And were we lucky with the weather this year or what!!!!
Sunny and warm...a beautiful day and NO wind...
We have harvested the potatoes in all kind of horrible weather...but I think it was worst when there was snow on the ground!!!!
And a happy surprise for this year...we were many "madmen" who had joined... the more the merrier... ;)
My brother with family were there...my aunt and friend were there...my dad drove the old tractor and...boy...they were quite happy when we came... Me, Lars, Petra and Viktor...
My Mum...she got time off this year...from the potatoes ... the cows still needed to be milked and fed... and we also had good food...fresh cooked potatoes ...that is sooooo good.... :)
And all the potatoes were harvested in ONE day...hurray!!!!!
We did a VERY good job!!
So I´m not that sore at all... :)
On the way back home we filled the trailer with logs ...and now we do feel very rich...we have firewood for the winter and yummy fresh potatoes....
Did I sew any...Nah...not a single stitch...but I did have it with me... :)

Gather Love... and decisions...

Finally I have finished something... :)
my little wallhanging made from a pattern of Cheri Saffiote Payne called "Gather Love"... made mine with prim stitches and some cross stitch... yellow, pink, green and brown fabrics ... it´s not big...but it´s finished!!!
And I did another one too...cause somebody have had her birthday...and Stina was very late in mailing it to her...:$ finally mailed her a pink little pressie...
She got it yesterday ( better late than never) ...mailed it in the afternoon and at luchtime the day after it arrived to
LOUISE... my poolparty friend!!
...made hers in brighter colours... it looked a little bit lost at my place with its brightness...but Louise phoned me and said that the colours worked at her place...pheeww... :)
Happy belated birthday my dear friend!!

Today I have been at the optician and (YES mom and dad...I have been there!!!) and tested out new ones... yepp... I can no longer sit and look over or under my glasses... first of all...it looks pretty stupid...for those who don´t know me... the others know what I´m up too ... Lol... and the bad part is that it gives me headache...
Ok..have come down to four different ones...pheew...think I will have to sleep on the decision...
It´s not easy when you are blind as a...??? lost the word...
Anyway...
Hope you all are having a great time out in the big big world!!
