Weighted pincushion...

Ahhh...spring is definetly coming closer...and closer..
cant really call it spring here.. snow is still falling and nothing is melting...
ok...just a little but it doesn´t show...

Bought some grape hyacinths...
...just love to follow them day by day...
aint these colours just lovely...

And belive it or not May Britt and Kris..I have another finish....
Saw this pattern some time ago and felt..this is something for me..
a weighted pincushion...with removable tidy bin...super clever
You can have it beside the sewingmachine...take it with you to the sofa and to class...
and this pattern comes from this talented lady
Oh..my I´m getting closer in my organizing ..don´t you think...
And I must say I love this one...
Ok I did some mistakes and did some changes...but it´s an easy pattern to follow...
Oh...dont look so close... Yes I have an orange thread cutter... gosh it is ugly...but work well..
I filled mine with crushed walnuts and just a little lavender...
so I enjoy every time I put a pin into it...
Sweet bliss...
btw...Kris ..do you see your ( mine now...) buttons...

  1. Hi Stina, That is great. I have something similar, but yours is more versatile. I love to use the crushed walnuts too. They definitely add a little more weight to the pincushion.

  5. Smart og fin sak. Takk for linken til Oh Fransson. Jeg syr nå på Anni Downs engler. Et koselig mønster. Jeg har sett dine og noen av de andre sine i An Angels story club. Inspirerende!! Takk.

  8. That does look really handy and useful too. I would think it would be graet when you go out sewing and there's no table next to you.

  10. Stina, I like your orange thread cutter, mine is orange too. Orange is the new pink. And I have never used crushed walnuts, how fine do you crush them? The smell would be heavenly especially with the lavender.

Do you like the walnut shells in the pincushion? I have seen them advertised on some internet sites and have wondered about putting pins in them.
