A chair and a new start...

the new start will have to represent a New Schnibble in the making..lol..

Short Story... :o)
Gosh I think Autumn is here.. I am working with dark fabrics!!!!
How did that happen...

And I cant say I am really in love with this pattern ...
a lot of cutting... and it is tough on my neck and shoulders..
maybe it is why it aint as fun as it use to be..
Well.. after having almost everyone sewn together... I am not sure if I love it or if I hate it... it is a little to nice.. it doesn't happen so much...
or maybe it is all the dark fabrics.. because it cant be the pink fabrics..lol...

Post more later... :o)))

Ok .. Have almost forgotten about this chair.. but when thinking of going back to work.. I remembered what  I worked  on before my vacation...

to finish this Patchwork Chair for a booth at a Major Trade here in Piteå
Big Nolia... a week ago.. did miss it myself.. so I didnt see it at the trade :o(...
1950-1970s fabrics were used and it was a lot of fun..
And I wouldn't mind having it here in my home..
Havent heard if it have been sold or what have happened with the chair...
since I have been at home all week...

One thing I know.. I have to look for a chair at work.. that I can buy and turn into a chair like this!! :o))

Back to work on some Short Story blocks...
See you..

BTW..
Havent taken the Pfaff for a test drive just yet...
but I will..
She had the demo sold when I had the time to visit her..:o(
Need more reviews on the Pfaff Expression 4.0 ...
Please..

I am so grateful for all the  feedback that have been given.. thanks... some I cant write back to as the settings is set as NOREPLY... so if you havent gotten an answer from me.. thats the case.. I cant reach you!!

  3. Hej!
I'm a Finish woman living in Crete. You have most beautiful things in your blog! I don't mind more photos from the exhibition...
I loved my Husqvarna! but it stopped working few years ago and from here I was able tuo find only Singer. I'm dreaming to get that Bernina you mentioned or Husqvarna!
(I have just started my blog so there is not much to see yet...)

  4. Hej Stina!
the chair is so cool...a real designer piece!
As to short story. Yep. Totally know what you mean. I constantly ask my self why a) I have set my heart on making the quilt bigger and b) I didn't stick to my first idea of taking a honey bun (or two) and strip piecing the Double Hour Glass Blocks (it would be such a time saver...and fabric saver!!!) At the moment I am occupied with making the center crease in the strips for the 31 extra blocks...hmpf!). At least I really, really, really, REALLY love the fabric I work with ;o).
I hope you will like your short story once it is finished...that your hard work and pain in your neck & shoulders were worth the pain!
    Hugs, Julia
    ...back to "work" ;o)

  7. Super FUN chair! Cutting always seems to take fOrEver, ouch, but those fabric colors are looking good and may be more appealing to you later in the season. Feels like fall has arrived here in MN, too.

  9. Cool chair, Stina! Very retro looking!

Can't wait to see your "dark" Schnibbles. Very un-Stina but I'm certain it will be just as gorgeous as all your other projects!

  12. Stina, I love the colours you are working with. I am sure that it will be beautiful and when you have finished it you will love it too. Fantastic chair. I saw a side table in a shop the other day and that had been covered in patchwork fabric and had big stitch quilting on it. You are obviously right on trend there. Be careful of your shoulders - if ooh becomes ouch then you must stop.
    Love Shirley.
