At the hairdresser...

Ohhh...if I had known this before I made the appointment for "Sweet Simplicity".
..she wanted to try a lot of different hairstyles and colour....Oh my...
never thought she would make up her mind... ;)

How about vintage style... and she loved the long hair...but wanted it curly...

...She even tried this one...definetly didn´t like that one...

...she loved the blonde hair...but wasn´t satisfied with that one either...so I said to her...try pink..I love that colour ... ;) ...well I had a laugh... all I can say...she couldn´t decide today...we made a new appointment tomorrow... one nights rest and maybe she can decide then...
I really hope so...

Look what I got today...

I was on the phone today with my friend Marica...when the doorbell rang... who is that I thought??? Maybe you will receive a big package Marica said...No ...I´m not expecting something... She was right...it was the mailman who had a package for me...
and look what it was...

the wool is really hard to find in Sweden...so I´m making a very happy dance!!

Since I have worked on a secret this week I can´t show you some photos yet... A couple of days ago I started a new stitchery... you Aussie´s might recognize it...

You see I have had this doll sitting all nude for a VERY long time now...poor thing..I´m so sorry... so I decided it´s about time to make her a dress...

...it became finished today...really hope she will like it..

...it´s made from the latest Australian Country Threads magazine...
I think she will have to try it out tomorrow...also made an appointment with the hairdresser for her...heard she was a bit excited about that...thinking of hairstyle and colour
So wish her good luck tomorrow!! It can be needed...cause I know the hairdresser.... ;)

Mothers Day....

This Sunday it was Mothers Day in Sweden...a day to feel a little bit more blessed than the others... my wonderful kids thought a little bit more of me...I hope... :)

Got to sew a great part of the day...finished my part of the secret I have been working on...sorry No PHOTOS yet... but soon I hope!
My DH and my son biked ( they biked on a tandem bicycle) to a cafe and had a wondeful time...eating yummie cakes !

This is my sons drawing for me on mothers day...Ohh..he knows that his mother loves pink and flowers... :) btw...it´s not a cat or black panter as I said... :$

Linda came with beautiful peonies (Ohhh....I love them...especially pink!!) and white roses...

...and Petra enchanted my day with a phonecall ...to tell me that she loves me...a Special day indeed... such a blessing...I love you all...

My PIFs

You all should try this ladies..and men!!! Join a PIF and make gifts for someone...it is SOOOO fun!! First I couldn´t come up with any idea at all...took all my magazines to bed...old ones too...and started to get some inspiration...maybe this...and Yes this one I can do!! And no...not that one...and finally the ideas started to come...then the fun starts ...planning the projects...selecting fabrics...this is the part I enjoy most of all I think...to fiddle with my fabric!!

This is my fives...
...and now they are all finished and delivered to their new homes... two of them didn´t want to leave Sweden...not the north part either...one ended here and the other one here... The other ones was a bit more adventurous and decided to a much longer trip...to Australia ...all three of them!! What a trio... and they ended up at these places...here...here and to this place where it been some dispute of who is going to have it or not!
Have heard that they all have been very well taken care of...
hope they will help their new owners to become more organized...not putting any more needles in the couches...the other halves ( the DH) doesnt like that... ;) ...

Ohhh no...cancer strikes again....

Today I found out that one of my dearest quiltingfriends suffers from cancer...

(number two in a couple of months)
All I can say is ...life isn´t fair all the time..
So whatever you all are doing out there... take care of each other...make the best of your time...and do whatever pleases you...

Garden and no sewing...

Still mad and disappointed about that shop...and still no news... :( ...but still hoping for some luck...not giving up...had to close down my creditcard and probably have to fix myself a new one!! But I have to say...this is the first time it happend and I have been ordering from other countries for at least 10-15 years...
Lost my joy for sewing...but it will come again...

Today we started to take away all the old leaves... check what has survived the winter... my roses didn´t look good at all...had to cut them down almost completely... :( and the same with some other bushes we have infront of the house...oh boy they layed flat on the ground...so I cut them down too... the flowers I don´t know about yet...still a bit early for them to come up!
There are still some promising flowering ahead...
...this is one of my absolutly favourites...can you tell what it is....
its a "syrenknopp" ...still don´t know... ;) ...it´s a bud from lilac...I just love that picture...

...it has been so cold the last days...so the grapehyacints still blossoms...

...so is the white scilla...

...and isn´t this one of earths lovliest flowers...blue scilla...

And in the mood I am now... I looked at my VERY large pile of unwashed fabrics...found fabrics in that one...that was at least 1 1/2 year old... :$ ...you know how I hate this...don´t you?
But a little anger works very well with ironing!! :z

...this is what I have washed and ironed...for the last days...and this is just a third!!! I decided...NO sewing until this is finished!!! But I have to say...I found some very lovely fabrics... :D...that I completely forgot about...so ...they were like new again!!!

Green Day...

Today it is a day for some green stuff...
first of all...hoping for some luck again against the Czeck in Hockey...hoping for green light there...so we will proceed in the tournament...Heja Sverige!!!

And finally started to wash up some fabrics...
so ...this is some of the green fabrics...more to come... ( one wash ironed and one more to go...pheew...I hate this!)

On the 24 th of May...we have Eurovision Song Contest here in Europe...there are 43 countries competing with their songs...so we have started to listen to all the songs...and got our own favourites...my son has one...I have one...and DH...really don´t know his...and of course we have Swedens contribution...We love to see this event and are competing agaist each other... ;)
...very friendly...*LOL*
...wishing for thumbs up for my favourite of course...

I signed up for Cyber Stitching as well at Mrs Martins Quiltshop...take a look at that...Ohh...it is faboulous things we are going to make and it sounds really fun...the only thing is that it is on Midsommers Eve...Ooppssss...(...don´t know how we will celebrate this year...me sitting and handstitch ...the other ones celebrate midsummer in some way... ;) ) have to check time difference too...*LOL*...

And finally I have to confess... ;D ...I have signed up for another PIF...couldn´t just wait until Carey at Blueberry Lane announced her PIF at her blog...think I was the first to sign in...*LOL*

A Much Better Day...

One thing with bad days...they are often followed by better days...
Yesterday was a day I stuggeled with everything...nothing went as I wanted it to...so I guess it was not so clever to sit infront of the sewingmachine and hoping to achieve something...probably should have watched TV all day...*LOL*

Today it´s another day...My son woke me up and said we beat Czechia in World Hockey Championships in Canada.... Yiiipiiie!!
Ate my breakfast...nothing strange happened...(didn´t drop my sandwich...this time...)...Managed a little sewing...finished some sewing...
At lunchtime the mailman came...loaded the mailbox full with a lot of goodies...;D
...two wonderful magazines...oh they were filled with a lot of things I would like to do...which one to start...Hmmmm...there were a lot...;D...and I had been given noticed by Jo at Vintage Lane Stitches....

...that I was supposed to be in Homespun...and she was right..It is me...look up in the right corner...;D... So I´m sort of famous in Australia now...*LOL*
When I read that article...I remembered what a fantastic trip I had with my friends to Norway... and having a class with Leanne Beasley (that beats a lot of things)...that is one wonderful memory...really a GOOD day ...indeed...and this is not all...

One month ago I was lucky to win again...this time I was the lucky one at The Calico Horse...and today my prize came...finally...one Jellyroll and one charmpack!!!!...;D Thanks Donna!!!
...and I´m so happy to have my own ME fabrics now...have an idea of what I want to do with the fabrics...but have to think a bit...

And later this day I ordered five...or was it six... new quiltingbooks for our quiltinggroup sponsored by SV Nord...*S*
And we all are feeling well...even my aching tooth and foot doesn´t bother me so much today...*LOL*
So ...have I had a good day or what!!!

Don´t do this ladies...
I´m soooo frustated...arrrrghhh...and stupid stupid!! In my eager to finish of my PIFs...I started to sign this one without having my brain connected with my hands...I signed this thing ...put on the binding ...and wow...a great result as you can see... So I hope this sweet receiver have some imagination of what it says...
...cause I won´t re do it!!! So just a little thought to everybody on a "wonderful" Sunday...
DON´T.... RUSH..... YOURSELVES!!!

On the Saturday block I exchanged the pumpkins to some more "Swedish " vegetables...and I liked how I turned out...;D

....and I couldn´t stop myself that day...just had to start putting the quilt togehter...

...have come this far...exchanged orignal letters and heart...appliqued mine...added some more strips...cause the pattern didn´t fit...so beware you ladies who is working on this one...More flowers to be appliqued and a border...we will see what becomes of this one...;D
No ...now I better get some sewing done...while my son is at school and I have the house all by my self...;D

Still here...Ohhh I´m working hard... very hard....with the PIFs...;D...but I love it...and I think I will keep them all...So sorry ladies...I will have to think about something else for you...

Finally spring came to the north of Sweden with wonderful days ( some pollen...but thats ok...just a running nose)...very warm for 2 days now..+ 18 C ( 64 F)...and thats warm for spring!
Last check around the house these small beautiful wonders finally got their heads up...smiling at the sun...silly me ...It makes me happy...;D
