Start to gather your fabrics....

Tutorial for what I made with these fabrics

will soon be up ...:O)

So if you want to join in.. you can 

start to look for fabrics...

Dive in to your scrap bin because all the pieces are small..:O)

*Around 2 1/2" ... 20 pieces 

(I used 10 different and 10 same)

*Strip 2"x24"

*and 8x8" piece of fabric

*some ric rac ( around one meter) 

and some leftovers 

And of course the stitchery..:O)

Just give me some time

right now my thumb looks like this :o(

Been to the Doc and are waiting on some test results...

well well.. 

so no sewing for me now...

Have had some fun nights with family...

from my friends Marica and Louise...

And once more I have had the pleasure to open up wonderful gifts...

Third Advent...

and believe me... time do fly faster around Christmas!!!

Already Third Advent...pheew...

Last Sunday I had a golden moment opening my gifts 

from Louise and Marica...

And I wasn´t sorry this time either...:o)

Pink dotty tape measure from Marica...:o) 

and white washed letters spelling JUL ( Christmas) from Louise...

So so sweet...thanks my friends!!! 

Last weekend THE SNOW came...

lots and lots!!!

Can hardly remember the snow coming this late...

and so is Viktor... 

first snowman is built!!! 

You might remember that I have sent out a Christmas Mystery to my friends in Norway... May Britt and Hanne... and to my Swedish friends Marica and Louise...

They are now in full activity working on it.... :o)

Advent secrets....

Hello everyone...

I´m back...and NOT so Grumpy...:O)))

Christmas is coming closer and closer and here in Sweden we are 

decorating for the first Advent...

Havent started YET...

only little...;o)

 making some decorations for the door... a christmas wreath...

and some decoration for a small tree...

After work tomorrow... 

all the boxes will be drawn out for 

A MERRY MERRY DECORATION DAY...:O)

I hope..:O)

This year I had BIG BIG intensions (as always) 

of keeping the tradition of advents gifts for my friends...

but gosh how lousy shops there are around here!!!!

UGH!!!

So I did something else...

did draw something instead...

packed in little bags and sent off!!!

ANd please please let me have time to make this a little more fun 

and let my friends have a little christmas mystery!!!

Really hope so..:O))

Who knows.. if Im sweet and nice..

I might be posting it all on the blog for all..

but I need time!! :O)

Still no snow around here.. we had some but it rained away...

just some frost...

Molly loves the cooler weather...

and well not me...

guess she will have to make me love winter... :O)

December update...

..Time Flies..

 Hope you are more prepared for Christmas than I am... :o)

But I guess  it will be Christmas... with our without gifts...

will try to feel happy about that!!

I finally finished my task for school.. to make something with the dyed fabrics we made earlier this Autumn.. and to make something with the stack n slash technique...

I started out to make some Churn dash blocks..

just because I like that block.. 

just added white or off white fabrics... to calm down the minty green batik...

Hmmm.. what to do with these now then.. they sure needed something...

so I started to crochet some snowflakes...

and it lay there for two more weeks.. not knowing what to do...

so I spilled out a jar of white buttons on it.. 

and yepp.. there it was.. :o)

So I sewed.. quilted small snowflakes....

added the crocheted snowflakes... the buttons... 

but still there was something more to add..

TEXT!!!

I cut out templates with just paper and added paint with a sponge..

And there it was 

My tribute.. or NOT...

to the cold winterdays we have had!!

All I can say is...

BRRRRRRRR.... :o)

And it suits me right now..

Snowstorm is going on right here...

Having fever and cough again...

and more cold days to come!!

SIGH!!!

But I actually had some kind of fun putting that minty little wallhanging together..

despite the colours and the theme...:o)

Ok.. what have been happening here...

NOTHING MUCH!!!

First this arrived...

In the middle of November we had a 

stack n slash weekend at my place....

Schoolwork... Patchwork this month..

and it have been the toughest month of them all...

So far!! 

Dont like my batik fabric... and not the colour...

it doesnt speak to me at all...and I have to use it!!!

SIGH!!

So it aint finished.. should have been..

So it need to be done .. tomorrow!!!

But it was fun to have Camilla around and learn her to play with fabrics!!!

All the other girls were sick or just couldn´t come!

Hope she have done something fun with her blocks!

The same week a surprise package was in my mailbox....

Last Sunday before Christmas...

and I do miss my package openings already... :o)

I opened up the last ones today...

What a great way to spend Sunday morning with...

I want to thank you all dear friends for my wonderful Sundays...

I have received so many lovely gifts...

and this Sunday no exception...

This weekend I have been home alone...almost...

oldest daughter came home to spend the holidays...

so we have had some time to catch up while the Guys have been at tennis camp!!!

Peace and quiet......

and some lovely sewing!!!

5 gifts have been made...

Two will go in the mail tomorrow...

Three will have to wait for some wrapping tomorrow...

and then it will be delivered to another friend..:o)

Ahhh.. Im getting closer!!!!! :o)

Second Advent...

and I have had my Mum here for a visit...

guess what no xray ... just another examination at the hospital...

where they said that the muscle was damaged and probably

will need a surgery to be ok...

So a new appointment must be scheduled

hope brother can help out with the cows again...

The week flew to fast ...

as always... just work..and work...

On Monday I got two more packages in the mail...

One from May Britt...

Lovely lace and pink buttons....

Love them...:o)

And packages from Louise... :o)

On the weekend  and on Monday I worked like a maniac.. and I really thought

I was going to make the deadline for the Schnibble  of November...

But NAH...

I didn´t... :o)

This time I worked with old Swedish repro fabrics...

probably from the 70´

I like them a lot..even if they are not the kind of fabrics and

colour scale I use to work with...

Some fabrics is from my Grandmother...

some from work and some I have bought...

Hope to finish this top now in December...

Today It was the second Advent..

and that means...

Package Opening!!!!!

Oh.. so pretty gifts I have received...

I love them all...

Buttons...fabrics... cute little box and a  pink heart clamp...

I think these friends know what I love...
