Sneak Peek and quilting

Some progress was made in the sewingroom... ;)
...I compleated my top for the Four Seasons Quilt Swap...
good to have it in progress...need to think a little of how to quilt it...
handquilt or not... colour of thread ...AND HOW!!!
Will have it on the wall for some days and hope I can come up with something...
...while wondering on the quilting for the little summerquilt...I took up another quiltingproject...My Quilter´s Journey...I know it´s not finished yet...think I promised this spring...and can´t say it spring now ...even if it´s cold...

...I love to quilt with perle cotton thread...really like the look of it...
And have worked so I only have one block left now... Woo hoooooo!!
Think I made a promise not to start my Butterfly Garden until this one is ready...and that promise I have kept!! At least that is something... ;)

Joined Sharon´s Cup Cake Swap the other day in a moment of weakness...or maybe it´s not...I don´t know...Deadline for that one is the 18th of August ...
Aaarrggghhh...I´m absolutely out of my mind...!!
Right in the middle of our vacation plans...and my daughters move ...pheew...need a secretary soon to keep track on my commitments!!!

Making progress...

Slow but safe...I think...I´m finally getting something done...have finished my stitchings on my Quilters Journey...preparing it for handquilting...yes I know I probably stupid here...but I think it needs some more stitches...LOL...and one more thing...I promised myself not to start Butterfly Garden until this one is finished...guess I´m much more stupid then I thought...cause I just want to start with that one!!!
Finally made the first block of Rosalie Quinlans Joy of Life ...I have been having pieces all over the place ..and last night i sewed them in place...pheeew! And this one...I was going to machineapplique...but no way I could do that...( my machine and I weren´t buddies last night...) so theese pieces were prepared with vliesofix...so they were a bit tricky to applique by hand.... hmmmm.... but they will have to do. Freezer paper for the rest...yepp!!

I think it needs a pink binding...? What do you think! Light, medium or dark pink?

One more block!!!

Whohooo...!!! One more block finished...one more to go ...then I am ready to put it together and quilt it...Yes!!! I have stitched during all breaks and my lunch hour...and it feels good, cause I´m toooooo tired to stitch anything after work. I really want this beauty finished...not just because I want to start something new...;D...I think...
And to all of you who wonders...they have caught the ones who set Storstrand on fire, and burnt the place down... the sad thing is that they are just teenagers...15,16 and 18... pheew...
No...now I´m better of to bed for my beautysleep..need to work on that one...my eyes are all red....!!!

Broderat.../Stitching...

Det blev ingen sömnad på Bonnie´s mysterium idag... hade tänkt göra så mycket...julen skulle ut...skulle sy och så blev det ingenting av det alls. Så julen är kvar och måste ta tag i det imorgon. Men broderat det har jag...nu är block 8 klart på "Quilters Journey"och har 2 st block kvar...har gett mig sjutton på att det ska vara klart i vår!!!Haven´t been sewing on Bonnie´s Mystery today...I should have... and I should have been taking away all christmas things...and not a thing went to the boxes...It will be tomorrows agenda...I think ;D Have been stitching on "Quilters Journey" instead ...and finally is block 8 finished. Two more to go...Hope you can hear me say: -I will have it finished THIS spring!!!

Please remind me sometimes...;D

Har inte varit på latsidan.../ Haven´t been lazy...

Tänk att man alltid i sista stund kommer på att man ska göra julklappar...som om man inte visste det flera månader i förväg..men det är något speciellt med att sitta och pyssla ända in i det sista!!! Så det är precis det som jag har gjort!! Samt att jag gjort lite till mig själv oxå!! Men de bilderna kan jag ju inte visa...för vissa är ju mer nyfikna än andra och kan lägga ihop både ett och två... Utan det får bli efter jul!!

Why do you always sit with your unfinished Christmaspresents until the last days before Xmas...still not finished...sewing like crazy!!! Madness or a lovely way of crazyness...I don´t really know...;D Anyway...thats what I have been doing theese days...have been sewing, stitching , sewing again . Sorry that I can´t show you yet...but after Xmas....I promise. Some people are sooo curious...but they have to wait!

Just nu har jag tagit fram min "Quilters Journey" och tänker ta med mig denna upp till Arjeplog och brodera på lediga stunder....vill så gärna få den färdig...Har kommit mig till block 6 och alla blocken är sydda ...så det är BARA broderingen kvar! ;D

Under my Xmas vacation at my parents home I will continue to stitch on my "Quilters Journey"... I am stitching on block 6 out of 9....soo hopefully there are going to be some stitching done during the evenings...wish me luck!! All blocks are sewed together...just stitching LEFT...!!! ;D

Dagens post innehöll block 7 på Joy of Life...och där kan man säga att det går väldigt sakta...men vem vet ...kanske efter jul att man får lite fart!
Och NEJ ....jag har inte startat med mysteriet ännu...men har planer på att rivstarta efter nyår...

In todays mail I received block 7 for "Joy of Life"...and all I can say is ...that I am way behind in this BOM...but who knows...after New Years Eve... I might have gained some power from somewhere...;D
And Sorry ladies...haven´t started on Bonnie´s Mysterie yet...this will also be number one on the agenda after New Years Eve!!
