May update from me...

 Still here...

trying to sew when I have the time...

last week held little time behind the sewing machine 

when Mum was here..

Now she is back at home..  and brother is in charge...

trying to keep her out of work!!

She is doing fine... despite everything...

she will never be able to lift her arm again.. and life feels hard...

Still hope the surgery will do some good!

Well..

have had lovely mail from friends...

A couple of weeks ago Mary at Quilt Hollow 

sent me some lovely pink leftovers from her work...

some pretty little pinks...

Ahhh.. this will be some fun to work with...

( havent played with them yet..:o)

And I had a date with Mrs Fortuna and won a giveaway  at Ullas Fiber Blog last week...

won fabrics that were like a vitamin injection..;o)

In between work and family I am still sewing for the exhibition...

having  some finishes.. and sewing on some new things...

It goes really slow now... 

need a little bit more energy and time...

But Im happy for that..so that not Lyn would have to wait for my package any more!!
I received my package at Christmas... (naughty you Lyn)

I had so much fun making this...
I know she liked blue...I like pink...so I had to mix these colours...
add some vintage... and a Bluebird!!!

But first I have to show you all my Christmas presents!!!! :)
...so it will be a lot of photos in this post... so I made collages ... less photos as otherwise I would have to make several blog posts...

On Christmas Eve´s morning my son and DH went to the "bath house" to have a Christmas swim so I had two hours to myself...and then I could not hold out longer ... needed to open my packages!!!
And that was good...I knew I was going to cry...and so I did ... a lot!!!
So I was glad I didn´t bring them to Lars sister... :)
First out is the packages from

...a lovely lovely stocking for the tree...and some wool and a kitchen towel and a cute little kitty...and a magazine that I received in the package...but not was wrapped!!

Sigh... tears are rolling down my cheeks...but happy tears of course..and I am so glad I can have this moment by myself and open in piece and quiet... and feel the love you have sent with all these gifts... :)
Fourth came from Louise...

I was so overwhelmed by all the lovely things in this one...
First of all ...this is a very clever way to wrap ( Judie Rothermel fabric) the gifts...opened it very slowly so I could remember...hope I will when its time to wrap something for someone... :)

...she made me a Pioneer Penny... love it so so so much... and a quilt that matches her...
and look at the fantastic label...will never ever forget by whom how senile I ever become..
And a cup filled with leftover fabrics from the quilt and Penny and a beautiful cup and saucer fabric..and a sweet little angel...
And a gorgeous Angel sign...
(poor Lyn spent a week wages on this one....but I´m happy... :)

This was just Christmas morning...:)
got some more Christmas presents...from Åsa...but that will have to wait until after the new year...

Tomorrow I´m going to my parents and will spend New Years Eve with them and my children...
(made my girls presents ready last night...wohooo... :)

And when I come back I will probably be without the internet ...dont know for how long...we are changing Internet provider...and so far everything has gone wrong...so we will see when I´m back online... :(
Hope it wont be for so long...because I will miss you!!!

Cold ...cold....brrrr.... and Santa came by...

Woke up to a new day with cold weather...
-21 (-5,8 F) this morning....
Have kept myself warm with a lot of spicy tea and a fire....burning almost all day...
What would we do without the Fireplace heating stove... probably freeze... :)

At lunchtime I looked out through the window ...it had started to snow...
so thanks for that .... milder weather on the way...
And ohhh...something large was in the mailbox...and it was snowing on it...
Better hurry up and get it inside and see what it was...

Knew this one was coming cause...Santa told me... :)
Libby has been an angel and offered to sew me something that I had not...

I said ok...only if we could make a little swap...
I know my package has arrived to sunny CA... but you will have to wait until Libby posts... ;)

Oh should I open it... maybe wait until Christmas Eve... calculated on how many days it was left... nah... I opened it... ;)

I just said ahhh so many times that Viktor had to come and see what it was...
and as usual tears started to fall... :)
My gosh Libby this is...you spoilt me completely...

I got myself a Christmas stocking!!!
And it was already filled with a lot of goodies...

CUP CAKES!!!!

The rain is poring down today...a boring day ...but it´s something good with that....sewing...
was sewing on my Angels...and hoped to finish them later today...when something distracted me... The doorbell rang...and guess who??
...My mailman ...and he was such a cutie... ;) ...having a parcel for me...
from Linda!!

...hurry hurry open...where is the camera !!!!...

...ohhh...and here they are my three dotty parcels I have been watching at Linda´s place...

...this is the first one... oh my...love the towel for the oven and look at all this pink lovliness...

...and oh my ...now we are talking about tears her...crocodile tears... falling down constantly...oh where was I... Linda...I love it...How did you know I wanted to feel like a chef in the kitchen!!! :) ...At least I can be very pretty!!! ..LOL...

...and the third package...look at his clever label and at the same time uesfull for hanging the quilt.... and yes it´s a wallhanging...

And when I had a cup of tea to calm myself a little...wipe some tears...I started to hang the quilt...had the perfect spot for it and ofcourse I was wearing my lovely apron... :)

...maybe my hubby wants to wear my apron... nah...he could try!!

...Ok...hardly nothing at all... I managed another finish from my class with Leanne Beasley last year... finally...think I stitched it within 3 days....and took several months to finish... yikkees... ...this never happends to you...or ... ;)
Hope I´m not the only one!!!

...otherwise...NO SEWING!!!...
...just a lot of sighing and...not really in mood for any creative...
But I long for it!!!

Had one of my brighter moments the other day... You all know my daughter Linda moved home for a month...and with her a lot of old furniture...some was going to be dumped...but I got an idea!! Had one desk upstairs...not practical at all...just laying things on it...
And Linda had a bookshelf in two parts...I took the part under and sawed off the legs and put the two pieces together ... and... TADA!!!
A new workspace for me... :)

...I love it... think it will work just fine... the best of all...more storage!!
Don´t you just love my holder for cutters and scissors!!! :)
...I´m pretty impressed of myself...
..and DH thought I was out of my mind...he said...it won´t work...you just never fix sawing those legs even...HAH...I did!!

And so my Cup Cakes have travelled the ocean to Linda in USA...
I must say this Swap have been so fun... I want to thank Sharon who came up with the idea and organized it...
I have found a fantastic new friend "over there"...it have been so fun making these cup cakes and teasing Linda with tiny tiny pictures ...I will miss that... ;)

And thankyou all who left comments on Lindas blog...guess what...
more tears from me... but happy tears... :L

...I´m still waiting for my cupcakes from Linda to arrive...she sent them a day earlier than me... but no sign for them yet...hope for next week...
