Surprise!!!!!

Sorry to have held you curious for soooo long...

Took a little bit longer than I thought to write this post....

Well...WHO WAS IT???

My mysterious guest....

It was LOUISE...

My best best sewing friend from Östersund....

BIG SMILE!!!

Happy happy surprise...

No wonder everyone have been going around

with a smile knowing this but me...

Louise came Friday night...

and she had the most wonderful gift with her....or two...:0)

Yepp...she brought something pink!!!

5 metres of the most perfect pink and white dotty fabric

for my windows....:0)

She had heard my troubles with getting pink curtains...

all I had was too brownish... Not good...

So this autumn I will have new lovely pink curtains...woohoo!!!:0)

Drum roll...here it comes...

my gift from Louise...drum roll....:0)

My name...:0)

Some low volume sheep...:0)

More low volume...

look at the pieced strip...a la Louise...:0)

Some flowers in pretty colours...

A vase...

A quilt...yes a quilt...

oh my goodness...

an absolutely wonderful Stina quilt...

Just for me!!! :0)

Louise...I love it so much...

and seeing every day...on my wall...

makes me smile...

Someday I will take it down...

and wrap myself in some quilty love!

Thankyou dear dear friend!!

And Louise also had another gift...

She said she would stay 4 days...

Hmmm...and now they say another long distance guest

will arrive for the party...huh???

One more gift to show...

Ok ...this is the quilt that

wasn't supposed to be...:0)

I intended to make a nice and sweet quilt a la the ones I showed

you in the last posts...

BUT...

this little quilt wanted to be born!!

I said earlier that I wanted to make a gift for Shirley

and I showed her gift to me here...

and this day I had a clear thought on what to make...

but I also had told myself to

"GO WITH THE FLOW"

so with that in mind I entered my sewing room...

looking for a nice pink fabric...

But...I stumbled on a pretty

turquoise - purple - green

flower fabric from my stash...

Grabbed that one...with a smile ...

added a green - white - dotty fabric...

and started to sew...

Thoughts kept coming...

wonder if Shirley likes brights...hmmm....

Well...

I just kept on sewing...

and when I were going to add what was going to be in the middle...

Nope...the quilt told me....

You should add this instead...

little messages...from our shared days...

and so I did!

Out with my letter stamps and textile colour...

...I added words...

Ahhh...it's so busy and crazy...

Shirley needs to wear sunglasses when looking at it...I thought!

So I mailed her and warned her...:0)

Brave as she is...she wouldn't let me make something else!!!

So I kept adding my words and some fun little crocheted circles

that I had made earlier to mend my jeans...

they matched perfectly!

Mailing her again...and asked if she had changed her mind...

Nope...she hadn't...:0)

So off it went to live in Great Britain ...

Looking at the pics afterwords...

It doesn't seem to be that bright and totally haphazard ...and crazy...

Just a little..:0))

So that's my story of a quilt

that wasn't supposed to be

but insisted to BE!!!

Hello...

Did you think i had forgotten all about you...?

Not a chance...but you know days just pass...

In my world they just DO!!

Have tried to be a little creative though...

No patchworking!!!

I LOVE IT!!!

It's even more pretty hanging inside...

But the lights inside are so poor when it's 

rainy and gloomy outside...

So outside is the best option to take photos right now...

Still haven't made myself a light box ...

for taking better photos...
