I got my Christmas gift from Marica

Loved just everything...

Did promise Viktor to take care of his heating Bunny... 

So surgery took place...

...scary moment for son..when I took the head off...

-Mum.. are you really sure you can do this...!!!

And YEs.. I did it.. 

just forgot to take a picture of the fixed Bunny... :O)

Strange sounds have been going on in the house...

think we have a mouse here.... :o))

Wonder who?? :o)

This morning  these gloves went on... :o)

Lousy day...

And I mean it... 

Firstly I have had big trouble with my neck... 

fire and thunder pain and headaches.. and have slept lousy during these weeks...and the cold that I still have...

So I have avoided to start to quilt my Winter White Schnibble.. but being alone yesterday morning.. I just had to have a go...

So I happily started... And it worked just fine... and then suddenly nothing at all worked.. thread breakages... hop stitches...  and you name it... 

HUH!!!!

It worked like magic the last time..  with the swirls... remember... :o)

BUT OH NO NOT THIS TIME..

Bad day for me and the Machine.. or what?? 

Well I dont know... 

Too little sleep.. and pain.. I unplugged the machine..and almost kicked on it..;o))

And went to bed crying!!!!

But did I feel any better... no no at all..

I tried and I tried all kind of tips and tricks..

And I have to say a BIG THANKYOU to 

Mary at Quilt Hollow...

She had the best advice...

She told me 

"Set it aside.....done with that project....have machine looked at.

GO to fabric stash...start cutting for another project! Yes... I said that....put your mind 

on something else!!!"

And so I did.. 

I went outside and stitched on my GJ (Gardeners Journal) blocks....

and watched Viktor hitting the tennis ball on his ball plank...:o)

Frustrated!!

(Maybe I should have played some tennis too..lol.. )

Thanks for the advice Mary!!!

Because later that day I remembered.. I had an old machine in my cupboard.. 

My old Bernina.. not sewn on for the last 7 years... :o)

And guess what...

It quilts like a charm!!! :o))

Who could know I had a treasure just in front of my eyes...

well a little hidden.. but there..:o)

Never ever have I tried to quilt freehand on this machine... 

Ok.. it have its issues.. needle up and a really really slow start... and bang it starts.. so you have to be ready when the needle goes down..:o))

But best of all.. 

I am quilting again.. and the Pfaff.. have to go and see a doctor.. 

or maybe it was just bad thread or whatever it could be...

Will plug her in later today..and test...

after I have finished the quilting 

on my Winter White Schnibble... :o)

It goes slow.. because I only sit ten minutes and quilt..

and up and do something else..!!

Ohh.. that was a long post with no pictures...

Quick hello from me...

Just a little quick note from me

so you see I am focusing and trying to get some finishes here..:o)

 All four quilts are quilted and prepared with binding...

no excuse to not have them finish soon then..:o)

I want to say an extra thank you to Mary at Quilt Hollow 

for giving me advice... 

Some days this just drove me nuts!!!

Have one more to quilt... 

but it have to wait.. 

neck and shoulder was about to have enough of the static work...

So I started to  mess up the sewing room  even more....

 Lots of old table cloths and old towels

were cut into pieces...

And yes.. Some of you might recognize the pattern.....

it is this months Schnibble Tagalong...

And this time I did it again... 

adopted the pattern for my needs and made the blocks larger...

and eventually it will be something for the exhibition..:o)

On the sick front..

I am better... not quite super duper well.. but Ok...

was about to go to work today..but..

Viktor is sick... 

When calling in to work.. I couldnt do anything else than laugh...

(thanks boss for your understanding)

 What to do.. 

nothing... at all....

Just get well and long for summer..:o) 

RAK and Quilting....

Have been home all week with a troubling stomach ...

lousy sleeping and no energy...

Soo happy for having Spring around the corner so this will end soon.. 

I blame everything in winter..;o)

On a very HAPPY note...

I found one wonderful RAK  gift in my mail  this week... 

and when I say wonderful... I mean wonderful... :o)

All the way from Australia....

from Janet at Quiltsalott...

and she  also thought of Viktor 

and added chocolate

(the ones he love with Aussie animals on... :o) 

He smiled and said... -Oh... mum... it is a year since I tasted them... 

So he will have a happy candy day on Saturday...

ANd  a key ring with a Kangaroo and light... 

(very exciting... ;o)

And for me there was a magnet from New Zealand....

dont know the flower.. so please help... :o)

On the Sewing front... not as much as I wanted have happened ...

Have been struggling with my Turnabout quilt...

QUILTING!!!!

Thread breakages... lots of them.. 

guess my mood didn't become better with a stomach that

 wouldn't cooperate at all... 

But one thing I found out... 

My Machine don't like to quilt too fast...  :o)

then the thread breaks...

So when I moved on to a smaller quilt it went better.. 

BUT SLOW.. sigh... 

Have lots to learn .. and I practice on my quilts...  

So this is what I have been up to... 

I´m working like a maniac....

....but I don't think I will make the deadline...

for my Schnibble!!!

At least half is quilted... and will get up in the morning and quilt some...

 and after that it is tennis all day!!!

So I will be back with news from last weekend...

Life has been UP And DOWN!!!!

Last weekend...

I was home alone.... 

The guys were occupied with tennis...

Viktor at Tennis camp and Lars enlisted as cook for the camp!!!

So this meant ...
SEWING FOR ME...

Oh happy days... 

So I started to sew my little teeny weeny little nine patches together..

and prepared for quilting.. 

draw out the design....

DAISIES...

Good practice I thought.. 

Watch and learn Belinda...lol...

This is not how to do it!!!

My machine was NOT at a happy mood.. 

think I have left it lonely for too long!!!!

So this is what happened...

*Frayed thread

*So I changed the needles twice...

*More fraying...

*Changing the threads twice....

*Skipped stitches....

*Oiled and patted the machine and said 

I love you...

Do you think this worked... ????

NO WAY!!!

Ok..  I fought and I wrestled my little piece of ART

size 10 x15 inches ...  ( sigh) *S*until...

TEA TIME... 

SIGH!!!!

Needed a break

and what could be better than this....

My lovely friend Åsa came over for tea...

it was ages since we met and we had a lot to catch up on!!!

And she sure knew how to make me happy again...

She had this with her...

Lots and lots of
wonderful birthday gifties...

(better late than never... and they were so perfectly timed...

and the company too...:o)

So .. with heavy steps... I climbed the stairs...

but not happy...

All I can say I practised my starts and stops...*S*

And this little machine is going to the sewing machine doctor 

at the end of September..

(WHEN I WILL TRAVEL TO NORWAY TO HAVE A CLASS WITH LEANNE BEASLEY AND GAIL PAN!!!! )

Oh yes you are.. dont say anything else.. 

I hear you mumble upstairs...

I know you did good when we sewed on some gifts..

but the quilting...

no no.. 

So off to the doctor!!!

And all of a sudden the boys returned home...

on Sunday...

And all I had sewn was two little gifts... **S**

That´s life!!!

The week have been filled with work...

so I have been going down a little in worktime)

Lovely mail in the mailbox...
