Upcycling or recycling..:O)

Hello ...

March is here.. 

and believe me.. its like music in my ears..:O))

Still not doing anything in my sewing room...

still having trouble with my five minutes...

but it´s ok.. it will come!

Am finishing up things at my work instead...

started the yellow little bird last year...  

and decided it needed some friends for a tree this Easter...

These are so much fun to make.. even if I struggle.. they get done!!

Used left over cotton yarn!!

Its a pattern from Attic 24..

so easy and fun...

And these mittens I started a month ago and they are finally finished...

Using all small leftover yarns ...

and I think they really have some attitude....:o)

Love it when they aren´t the same!!

 And when going to bed the other week..

 I remembered I havent showed this lamp shade I made out of old bed linen...

and I must say I love the light and how the monogram

 shows up when the lamp is lit...

Sunnier days have arrived...

at least it feels like that..

not that cold either...

Could it be..

that spring is on it´s way????

OHOH.. I know ..lots of snowstorms is yet to come...

cold nights.. ...

more snow...

But on the almanack it says

MARCH...;O))

And I love that!!

A Gardener´s Journal since Summer 2005

(said so in the book...;o)

and said sooo many times I have to start it...

And this was an opportunity to finally.....MAYBE get it finished...

I know... haven't quilted 

An Angels Story yet... 

but that´s another story..:o)

(Hope finger will hold soon to get the handquilting done)

Have prepared this months stitchery blocks.. 

and might draw up some more...

Will be good to have when we go to Arjeplog  during Easter!!

A most wonderful weekend!!!

Maybe I scared some bugs away with having some fun!!!

Easter part two ...

Okey...kidding here comes part two...two post today instead...
Easter Day...
The weather was incredible...
from its best side...
And it was time for the Yearly Ski Race...
Nine brave skiers...
and some officials...ready to help the ones that needed help...

...youngest 2 1/2 years and oldest 17...
Rules... age split in half..and that was how many laps you had to go!!
No wonder we older didn´t ski...
The prize...chocolate medals for all...

Easter Day... traditions to eat eggs...and the children painted them...
Ok I did some too...

Easter Sunday ... brought us sunny weather again...
so we spent the day outside ...
barbecuing sausage and bread...
Yummy!!!
Monday out again... more sun!!!
And on Tuesday morning we went home ...
And more wonderful weather...we just had to spend time outside!!!
So Viktor and I have spent two days near our river to look at the swans...

...and we had picnic...
and how good doesn´t food taste outside...
I have had so wonderful days...
hope you all have had the same!!

Easter 2009 part one...

I´m back...
from a wonderful ...fun ...and...joyful time spent at my parents place...
In Arjeplog...
where the snow still rules...

We were at most 21 peolpe...
and how fun isn´t that...
We were out most of the time...kids playing...and some grown ups just had to start a
snowball fight!!!
On Good Friday we celebrated that my Dad had turned 70...
Guy prepared one of his wonderful cakes...

and this time he let the kids decorate the cake...
I think its beautiful...
(and it tasted heavenly... )
When all that was prepared...
there was an egghunt...
and the kids searched for there candy eggs...and Dad had to search for his special one...
... and in his ...there was a MOUSE...
for his new laptop...
He has so much to write and document ..so I hope this will help him
organize and help documenting all he knows about our familys history...
Good Luck Dad...
And yes ...he loved Viktors present...
very much...

wanted to say a few words...

Ok..then...were you finished..???
There have been so much excitement here since they were drawn..
can you belive me all the noise they have made..
and the cackle...... mhmmm...
for beeing pictured... pheeww...
So we are very pleased that ...

... the picture is finished...

..framed and soon delivered to Grandpa...

My first finished needle punched project.. wow..I have had so much fun with this
and Viktor he had just as fun as I!
The only problem will be...
giving it away...
So I guess there will be more drawings to punch needle in the future...

I hope you all will have a great time during EASTER...
We will be spending some days at my parents place ...
celebrating dads birthday...
enjoying family and hopefully spend some lovely days outside...
So Im hoping for lovely weather..no snowstorms... no cold days...
just sunny and warm...
You can hope...right??

So I better start to think of what to take with me...
